We are a hub for high level Web3 development talent to share ideas, problems and opportunities so co-creatively they can find ways to support each other and leapfrog the African continent forward.
The Graph is an indexing protocol for querying networks like Ethereum and IPFS. Anyone can build and publish open APIs, called subgraphs, making data easily accessible. The Graph network is used to organise blockchain data to allow anyone to develop and publish dApps that use GraphQL to query open API subgraphs indexed.
A subgraph defines which data the Graph will index from the blockchain and how it will store it. Once deployed, it will form part of a global graph of all the world’s public information. This data can be transformed, organised and shared across applications for anyone to query.
Previously development teams had to develop and operate proprietary indexing servers, which required significant engineering and hardware resources.

To ensure the economic security of The Graph Network and the integrity of data being queried, participants stake and use Graph Tokens (GRT).
GRT is a work token that is an ERC-20 on the Ethereum blockchain, used to allocate resources in the network. Active Indexers, Curators and Delegators can provide services and earn income from the network, proportional to the amount of work they perform and their GRT stake.
Indexers are node operators in The Graph Network that stakes Graph Tokens (GRT) to provide indexing and query processing services.
Indexers earn query fees and indexing rewards for their services. They also earn from a Rebate Pool shared with all network contributors proportional to their work, following the Cobbs-Douglas Rebate Function.
